Hello! Obviously if you’re visiting my blog, you’ve been introduced to book blogging. However, maybe you’re not a book blogger yourself, but you’re interested in becoming one. Yay for you! It’s one of the best decisions I ever made. Book blogging is a great way to share your love of books and interact with readers all of the world. In the future I’ll be writing posts about getting started in book blogging, and how to be successful at it, but for now, here are a few basic tips.
- Read (obviously). Read, read, read.
- Write a solid amount of reviews before you start blogging. You’ll want a nice little cushion since designing and getting a book blog running can be time consuming, and you might not have a ton of time to write reviews.
- ARCs will be your BFF. Obviously, ARCs aren’t going to start raining down on your head immediately…or ever probably. However, if you do get your hands on one, reviewing one before it’s publishing date can increase traffic to your blog. Visit my ARC page to see how to obtain ARCs.
- Leave reviews on multiple sites, and share them with social media. This is a crucial step in getting your reviews out there. See where I leave my reviews. You can also link your reviews on your Facebook page and Twitter account!
